Re: A couple hands, standard and horrible?
I call the first hand.
If your going to raise at all, why not push all of your chips in preflop??? You might make the BB fold instead of calling for only 12K more (about 10% of his remaining stack) |

Re: A couple hands, standard and horrible?
Unless I have specific reads in hand 1 I give it up on the
flop. If he has an Ace what can you beat? You are risking one third of your stack with a call. Unless you have good reason to think he has a Nine I fold. Would he raise BTF if he had an Ace? Hand 2 I push or fold BTF. On the flop I guess I push. You don't have much FE with a bet, but you have lots of outs if your opponent has something. You could conceivabley have up to 18 outs if your opponent calls with King high. Bruce |

Hand 1: Fold.
Hand 2: Push PF. Not even close. |

Re: A couple hands, standard and horrible?
Push preflop on both hands.
Definately call the push on the first hand. Villain could have a draw or be bluffing, figuring you don't have an ace since you checked preflop. It is a draw-heavy board. Even if villain has an ace, he probably has a higher kicker, but not high enough to keep it from being a split pot with the high board. |
