88 that started out normally, but i think i went wrong somewhere
This hand I felt I played good, up till the river where for some reason I was seeing things that obviously werent there.
It was one of my earlier hands in the session and I can admit that I was tilting early on because I the folded nut straight in my first hand. (When will PP fix its broken wait list, trying to get seated to 4 tables and in the confusion I hit fold) Anyways... Villian after 46 hands 8.7 / 6.52 / 2.2 Party Poker 3/6 Hold'em (9 handed) FTR converter on zerodivide.cx Preflop: Hero is MP1 with 8[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img], 8[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]. 2 folds, Hero raises, 3 folds, Button calls, 2 folds. Flop: (5.33 SB) 5[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img], 9[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img], 6[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] (2 players) Hero bets, Button raises, Hero 3-bets, Button calls. I dont feel that anyone calling 2 cold with those stats hit that flop. Turn: (5.66 BB) 8[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] (2 players) Hero checks, Button bets, Hero raises, Button 3-bets, Hero calls. Been reading HEPFAP and working on the checking to induce bluff portion. This seemed like the ideal spot for that. River: (11.66 BB) 4[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] (2 players) Hero checks, Button bets, Hero calls. And yet something doesnt click. Does everyone agree with the part of missed bets on this street? Final Pot: 13.66 BB |

Re: 88 that started out normally, but i think i went wrong somewhere
Interesting -
Lots of times I 3-bet the flop and check the turn with big hands, but only when I'm pretty sure villian has something. In this spot he has OC's too often to induce a bluff very often I think. Looking at the whole action he was probably just getting cute with a painted PP. I might wuss out like you just because 99 is like the only hand I coldcall with PF. Edit: I thought the turn was capped. Nah, I wouldn't wuss out that much. |

Right, so I am a wuss on the river for not leading/check raising or on the turn for not capping?

Right, so I am a wuss on the river for not leading/check raising or on the turn for not capping? [/ QUOTE ] since there is a 4 straight on board AND 77 isn't out of the question I don't like a c/r as we risk putting in too many bets. Thus I like bet/calling the river. At first I didn't like the hand, but now I dig. |

If I was villain I would not 3bet the turn with a hand that you beat.

I dont feel that anyone calling 2 cold with those stats hit that flop. [/ QUOTE ] You are right, he didn't hit that flop. The bad part is you are 3 betting the flop with only 6 outs. |
