Is my push on this flop correct?
After seeing this flop, should I still try to extract a LITTLE more value out of QQ?
I think I've gotten the most value I can and just need to take it down right there... right? ***** Hand History for Game 2148659335 ***** NL Hold'em $30 Buy-in + $3 Entry Fee Trny:12775882 Level:1 Blinds(10/15) - Friday, June 03, 15:00:21 EDT 2005 Table Table 11068 (Real Money) Seat 10 is the button Total number of players : 9 Seat 1: PeteIII ( $745 ) Seat 2: robgakhal ( $805 ) Seat 3: sepher28 ( $785 ) Seat 5: Craig29111 ( $700 ) Seat 6: Clownfishy ( $775 ) Seat 7: WINN7 ( $1085 ) Seat 8: migsan ( $730 ) Seat 9: cocoaskid ( $745 ) Seat 10: Wags4141 ( $1630 ) Trny:12775882 Level:1 Blinds(10/15) ** Dealing down cards ** Dealt to sepher28 [ Qs Qc ] sepher28 raises [60]. Re: Is my push on this flop correct?
I play it differently on every street. Raise more pf. The flop all in is bad, youre getting bad odds on the pot and youre only getting called by a hand that beats you.

I play it differently on every street. Raise more pf. [/ QUOTE ] The raise was 4 x BB. What do you raise to here? Is your standard raise on level one > 4xBB? I think the raise was fine first to act. I vary my openning raises a bit based on table reads, but my range first to act from early position would be T50 to T75- I generally wouldn't make a larger raise than this. [ QUOTE ] The flop all in is bad, youre getting bad odds on the pot and youre only getting called by a hand that beats you. [/ QUOTE ] In a $33 you will get called by worse hands very frequently with a field this size and that board (many PP's TT-66 will call along with the occasional AK-AQ). This hand could be played a lot of ways post flop and many different ways could be +$EV. I think pushing is a simple/acceptable approach (although it may not be the highest $EV). |
