This game was started on 12/3 and just finished.

It was a great fight where fluxrad build up a winning advantage by controling Australia and most of Asia while avoiding big confronations. HighestCard (Africa) and myself (South America) were forced to simultaneously attack him to wear down his defenses.

Eventually, fluxrad and HighestCard had a big army draining fight which crippled HC and left fluxrad in a defensive position. I was able to take North America and used the extra territories to expand and win.

I've played two other games similar to this. They dynamics of the game when it gets 3-handed and all three players have a legitimate shot to win (even if one is a favorite) are great. It's hard to establish a dominant position because the other two players, if they are smart, will work together to chip away at it until a balance of power is established again.
