Default Poker in Aruba

I am heading out to a wedding in Aruba in a few months and I was wondering if there is a good place to play poker out there. I hate the sun and the beach so I'm planning on trying to avoid both at the casino during the day. I am looking for mid-high limit hold'em games mostly (20/40-80/160) but I will play some other games or some no limit as well. Any suggestions as to where to play?

Forget poker, just go to Carlos & Charlie's. Decent food for dinner and if there's cruise ships in port it get's real crazy.

Best night I had on my cruise this winter, we almost didn't make it back on the boat.

Try this:

http://www.pokerpages.com/directory/resu...amp;image4.y=10

According to pokerpages.com cardroom directory there should be hold'em games you've been looking for at Excelsior and Radisson. GL!

Please please just go to the beach and perform physics experiments all day for the girls. Chicks dig physics.

I think you may be in for some disappointment. First, most of the casinos are only open at night. This includes all 3 of the casinos with poker (excelsior, casablanca, radisson). Second, it's mostly low limit stuff. Unless it has drastically changed since the last time I was there (don't think it has).

Last time I was there ~ 2 yrs ago, the casino at the Holiday Inn was open during the day but there was no poker. The games went only at night, and only at the Holiday Inn. I understand (as mentioned above) that there are new poker rooms in town. I've heard they have some funky rules. Would appreciate a trip report from the OP as I'm heading back there for New Years and would like to know what to expect.

I thought there was a boycott of Aruba?
Why are you going there. Do you support what that Vanderslootenglooten did to that poor young girl?
Do you support the international sex slave rings?

The casinos are open all day -- but the poker games don't get started until night, usually around 8:00 or 9:00 pm while i was there.
