Default tentative 2+2 deep stack game

the interest for this has arisen from the bellagio thread, so i thouoght i would make a new thread to garner interest.

i think it would be interesting and fun to play a deep (300+BB) game against other regular contributers to this forum.

from the other thread:
[ QUOTE ]
just checked on UB nd the biggest no-max game is .25-.50.

we can just agree to have UTG post a 'straddle' every time to either 1 dollar or 2 dollar every time, depending on how big we want the game to run.

to make sure that the biggest blind was allowed to act last preflop we could make there be a minimum open to 2x-straddle to reopen utg's action.

how big of a game would everyone be comfortable playing? and who is interested?

As I replied in that thread, another option is Bugsy's Club. None of their cash games have a max buy-in, so you can play, say, 1/2NL, 3/6NL or 5/10NL, all no-max. That way you can avoid the straddle/min bring-in contortions.

the game won't actually be interesting pokerwise unless the money matters to people. people who play 10/20 nl playing .25/.5 nl won't exactly play their best when they are playing for even 1000 bets.

thats why i said we could straddle the game to make it run a bit bigger.

but regardless of the stakes, i know that if there is a tough lineup i am going to be playing tough solely to bust those donkeys for bragging rights.

when i play local small games or tourneys with friends i still typically bring my A game because of being so competitive.

i think this would also be true of a number of the players.

i think doing this on stars w/ rebuy trick would be better. Live straddle deal sounds too confusing/annoying. Also if a few people emailed stars/party/UB i'd imagine 1 of them would create a higher limit no max table. Also, i think to help the quality of the game, we should do at least 2-3 tables (so that people like me who are used to multi-tabling dont play insanely stupid). hows a 3/6 table sound (3-5k stacks). I'd be game for 10/20 obviously, but I think that there may not be as any players.
