like so many others i am a fan of the man in black. caught the trailer the other day and it looked like it could be pretty entertaining.

joaquin phoenix's impersonation seems spot on. and despite the fact reese witherspoon gets on my nerves (sans 'election'), she may be pretty decent as well.

the early reviews i have read are pretty glowing. so hopefully it is a good biopic, unlike the recent bob dylan film.

I'm also looking forward to seeing this, since I enjoy Cash's music. But Reese Witherspoon elicits some kind of deep seeded anger in me that makes me want to perpetuate extreme acts of violence upon her.

I'm very much looking forward to this movie. I think Joaquin Phoenix is a sweet actor.

a friend of mine was at a screening recently and told me today that this is pretty good and worth catching.

Big article on it in the L.A. Times last week. Made it sound interesting. I couldn't picture Phoenix in it at first, but maybe it will be fine. The truth is, Cash was such a unique individual that it would be really hard to picture anyone as him, so whadda ya gonna do?

I wonder if he could possibly pull off anything like the voice. Cash could say hello and make it sound like a revelation.
