Default Value river raise?

I feel like I don't raise enough on the big streets for fear that I'm always beaten. Viallain here is a bit laggy w/a 40/20/2.8 line over 71 hands

Party Poker 3.00/6.00 Hold'em <font color="#0000FF">(4 handed)</font> link

Preflop: Hero is BB with K[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img], K[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img].
<font color="#CC3333">UTG raises</font>, <font color="#666666">1 folds</font>, <font color="#CC3333">SB 3-bets</font>, <font color="#CC3333">Hero caps</font>, <font color="#666666">1 folds</font>, SB calls.

Flop: (10.00 SB) A[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img], 8[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img], 8[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] <font color="#0000FF">(2 players)</font>
SB checks, <font color="#CC3333">Hero bets</font>, <font color="#CC3333">SB raises</font>, Hero calls.

Turn: (7.00 BB) 9[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] <font color="#0000FF">(2 players)</font>
<font color="#CC3333">SB bets</font>, Hero calls.

River: (9.00 BB) A[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] <font color="#0000FF">(2 players)</font>
<font color="#CC3333">SB bets</font>, <font color="#CC3333">Hero raises</font>, <font color="#CC3333">SB 3-bets</font>, Hero folds.

Final Pot: 14.00 BB.

On the river I put him on an ace or a PP 99-QQ. I also feel he will pay off my river raise w/PPs. Once 2 aces and 1 9 are out on the board, does this narrow down his hands enough to make raising the river worthwhile?

Just call the river. The A on the river doesn't narrow his range of Ax hands enough to justify value raising there.

you realize you just folded aces up in a four handed game? what the [censored] are you thinking? just keep pushing, these fish dunno what they're doing.

btw i might cap the river. depends on my mood.

I'm curious as to why your read is 99-QQ and doesn't include Ax hands?

besides the obvious ace this is a pretty good flop for kings (and 99-QQ). if he is tricky, i am calling down and smiling at the river.

i think the river raise works engouh when its 99-QQ. again if hes tricky i would call the river, but without any reads im folding.

If he's tricky my best line is to just call the river bet. I dont see any reason to raise a tricky player as I'll have to call a 3 bet

I think I'd like a river raise had he not check-raised the flop with the ace out. After the flop check-raise, I think you should just call down or fold.
