Default TT gets capped.

/edit Eurobet .5/1 full

I don't have the hand history since I'm at work but...

I've only been at the table for about 3 orbits and haven't seen villain get out of line. He seems to play too many hands.

1 MP limper, villain raises in CO, I 3-bet TT from the BU, blinds and limper fold, villain caps and I call.

(10.5sb) Flop Q89, rainbow.
Villain bets, I raise, villain calls.

(~7BBs) turn 7
Villain checks, I check.

What do you think up to this point?

I like it. I don't think you have the best hand often enough to make betting the turn profitable and that OESD sure looks nice. The only thing he could conceivably have right now that you beat is AK. I also call his inevitable river bet unless it comes Ace or King.

looks like he has AK/JJ and is going to check call or check fold, KK and is going to check call, or he has AA/QQ and wants to check raise you.

good check behind now with outs. i don't think you can call a river bet, but it just depends on if this guy will bet AK.

I'd bet the turn again. Villain could have AK, AT or something like KJ. Sure would be bad if he gets a free card to beat you.

Interesting flop. There is like nothing we beat here except AJ and AK and they have 6 outs. If we call this down we pay 2.5 BB to win 8 BB. You have 2 outs (if he doesn't have JJ) or a runner runner if behind. I think we need to know his capping range here.
If he's very tight and only caps with AK, AA and KK we have a bigger chance to win than if he caps with 88-AA, AK, AQ, KQ, QJ. The looser he is, the worse the situation. =)

I check the turn with outs and call a river bet.

Slight nitpick, AJ has 5 outs.

Agreed.

FWIW, I would have bet the turn had the it had been a brick. (Edit: Although even then it's a close call since you still have some gutshot outs).

If you are commited to showdown assuming an ace or king doesn't fall i'm not a fan of the flop raise.

Does anyone dislike the flop raise? I think you're getting 3-bet here quite often. Then, when Villain leads out the turn, we're getting 9:1 on our gutshot draw, and the remaining tens are enough for us to call to see the river, so we've invested 2.5 BB just to see the river, when a call down gets us to showdown for the same price.

I'm not saying that calling down is the right line, but I think hard about just calling the flop here. Although, I can see the benefits of a flop raise as well. It played out perfectly for you, so check behind on the turn.

Normally I'd agree but since we have a gutshot on the flop and the turn could give us some more outs like it did, we could really use the free card. If we get 3-bet then we know we're in deep.
