Re: Standard situation
If i'm seat 8 and I have 6A6 and I'm going to play against a queen I'm probably gonna want to get it heads up right away and push out the bring in with an extra raise and maybe reraise from hero.
So, I'm thinking he just made aces. I fold here and get it over with before I make 3 more crying calls. |

Re: Standard situation
You have barely enough equity to play if he has aces - at 2/4 there's a good chance that he'll need aces up to three-bet. If I had 6A6, I wouldn't reraise here, because I'll only get heads-up if you pop it again. Also the hand plays OK three-handed.

Re: Standard situation
i just call here and be prepared to play the hand to the end. the pot is plenty big and you arent folding here. if he has Aces up already then you are SOL but that doesnt mean you should fold just in case he does.

Re: Standard situation
Assuming he's a good player one may think split 6's A kicker made Aces up on 4th, or the dreaded (but unlikely) rolled up 6's.
If he's weak, he may just have a pair of aces and figure you only have queens and is trying to take charge of the hand. Hmm. |

Re: Standard situation
I call. It's what I do best. Against Aces, you're not that big of a dog, and the pot has gotten big enough that you need to at least see fifth. I probably see the river unless the other guy makes an open pair.

Re: Standard situation
Thinking at the next level---If I were a good player & I felt the Q-raiser was trying to get a read on whether I had A's up or just A's, I might call with A's up or re-raise with A's.
