Default The Gilpin is where I play in CO from now on.

Great room, competent dealers. Cocktail waitress was a little inept and the floor manager was pretty damn surly last night but whatever. Donks a plenty, even on the three tables that were running last night. I saw multiple hands with 4 or 5 people cold-calling preflop. They spread 2/4 in addition to the inane 2-5 spread-limit and the LAG 5-5. NLHE Sit-N-Go's all day, last one spread around 9pm it seemed.

Can't hear a single slot machine.

Half the room is designated non smoking and some jerk moved away from my table when he saw me standing by the ashtray (near the wall) smoking. I don't normally smoke at the table, I stand up to smoke. He was giving me the stinkeye and acting really condecending about "having to play with smokers". Go back to Boulder or play in the other half of this room. He seemed like a dick and I was there to have fun, anyway. I guess I should chew and keep a spitcup near his drink instead.

Were you there last night, juanez? I was the loudmouth in the blue shirt with orange trim and baseball hat. I was at the table with the kid that kept doing stuff like diving into the muck, showing cards to live players, taking too long to act, etc.

Glad you liked the room smoore.

Yeah, I remember you guys - Table 12, 2/4 I think it was. A few minor gaming violations, but you guys got away with it.

Cocktail waitress was a little inept
Remember that you are only supposed to get one alcoholic beverage every 30 minutes, and the casino is rather strict on that, so try not to be too hard on them if you're slugging em down. What was that disgusting drink your friend was trying to invent? I told him sounded like a recipe for vomit.

and the floor manager was pretty damn surly last night but whatever
You must nean Ray - the big bald Iranian. He always looks like he's about to rip your head off, but he's usually a pussy cat if you have a question, want a table change, whatever. I've seen him REALLY pissed off and it's scary.

Go back to Boulder or play in the other half of this room.
This is exactly why half of the room in totally non-smoking.

Good luck man - see ya there!

Heh, I'm fairly certain I didn't break any rules. That guy in the green shirt was pretty nutty. TWICE he showed his cards to a live player, once to me and once to that guy sitting next to me with the gelled hair. Incredible. Luckily, both of us folded in the hands in question.

Yeah, I wasn't getting drinks too fast and I even skipped a couple "asks". I think the floor cut me off or something. That's just a side effect of being the aforementioned loudmouth I guess. (But MAN did it get that silver-haired guy and the newbie in 1 to pay me off a couple times). She seemed really frazzled running drinks to four tables and was quick to snap at me if I asked a question that might normally be followed with attitude. Oh well, I guess extra tips don't go far with her. I'm not looking for extra drinks, just less 'tude.

Ray was very nice, I was talking about the schoolmarm-like woman later.

I'd never seen that kid before in my life, I have no idea what he was thinking with that weird drink. I was trying to "buddy" with him 'cause he was somewhat competent. He was also doing a pretty good job of cooperative betting with me once I explained the concept. We got a couple pots down to heads up before the flop with my raise/his reraise. I won them both

I'll supbro you next time I see you there.

What tournaments does the Gilpin have on weekends, specifically Sundays (tomorrow)?

Isn't this pretty much a word for word definition of collusion?

No it's not, Sully. If it were, I would be colluding with every other decent to good player I play with.

Are you telling me you don't cooperatively bet? i.e. One known solid player to your right raises, you have something that might warrant a cold call like JJ or AQo but instead you RAISE to drive out stupid draws behind you. If you don't, you might want to start.
