Default Foxwoods regular, first time borgata questions

I'm planning to head down to the Borg this weekend for the first time. I haven't decided yet if I'm just making the day trip on Saturday, or doing the long weekend. I have a couple questions, and I'd appreciate any additional advice.

I found a price of $137.25 plus tax for 3 nights for the Days Inn in Absecon, I assume I'm not gonna find anything cheaper than that.

I'm planning to play the 6/12; how many tables of this are generally run on the weekends? How early should I get there on Friday/Saturday to get a seat without too much waiting? Does the Borg do call ahead seating for this level? Foxwoods only takes call aheads for 20/40 and above, for some reason.

People have mentioned that this game is sometimes slow due to change making. I was planning to buy in for a rack, half red/half white, and shuffle my stack together into a candy cane. This seems obvious, is there a reason everyone doesn't do it?

How much does it cost to park? If I go to the Empire thing at Trump Marina, can I walk over? If not, do I have to pay to park again when I come back? Does the Borg do a reseat list like Foxwoods, so I don't have to endure a Saturday night wait when I come back?

How does the comp system work? At the fox, you sign in and out with the floor to get your paltry $0.50/hour. Does the Borg work similarly? Are there food comps available?

Are there multiple parking garages? If so, which is closer to the poker room?

Any other tips appreciated.

* Your hotel price and location are just fine.
* 5-6 tables of 6/12 are run on weekends.
* Get there between noon and 1pm on Saturday, between 2 and 3pm on Friday if you want to wait for less than 30-45 minutes or more.
* No, they do not do call ahead seating for 6/12 or as far as I know, any level. (Maybe high limit, but I do not know)
* There is no reason why everyone doesn't do the 'candy-cane', some people are new to the game, some people just dont get it - with a competant dealer, the speed of the game is marginally unaffected. But yes, please do it.
* $5 to park. Don't walk over from the Trump, get a cab.
* Sign up for a Borgata card when the floorperson seats you. Give him your license and he'll return with a card. You get $1 per hour while playing 6/12.
* There are not multiple parking garages, per se-there is the valet lot, and the parking garage. The valet entrance to the Borgata is closer to the poker room by probably 500 feet. When you go into the parking garage, if you should choose to park there, go up to about the 2nd or 3rd level, turn right, turn right again and start looking (that'll put you headed towards the casino entrance). If you're lucky you'll find something close, if not, it's not a big deal.

No other real tips except if you're a drinker, they have Heineken and Corona in bottles, and top shelf drinks available on request while playing. Also if you're planning on eating on either Friday or Saturday night, you will be waiting a long, long time if you have plans to go anywhere besides the Call Grill in the poker room. If you do dine at the Call Grill, the burgers will make you take a dump shortly after, the fries are like mini-potato sticks of poor quality, and the chicken fingers are huge, but with a ton of breading, so be warned. Also at the Borgata you must buy your chips at the window, not at the table.

I will be down there this weekend (saturday afternoon and evening), probably make a post about it sometime in the coming days so maybe the 2+2'ers that will be down there (TT i know you're going too, right?) can maybe meet up and whatnot. Good luck!

The Days Inn in Absecon is cinder-block hell. If you don't mind sleeping in squalor conditions than go for it.

Any 2+2ers wanna split a cab back and forth?

It's cool that you can sign up for a card with the floor, I don't think Foxwoods does that.

Can you rebuy from the dealer? Or are there chip runners or something?

Another Q, can you get food at the table?

Thanks for the info.

Oh no! I'm gonna be spending so much time sleeping in AC that I must have a fancy room.

Yes, you can rebuy from the dealer. No chip runners.

No, you cannot get food at the table unless you are in the high-limit room. (which typically is 20/40 and above, though they do put 10/20 tables in there at times as well)
