Default UGH, running bad puts me in a shell

Just before this hand I took some rough losses. AK losing on AKx flops on two tables almost simultaneosly. I let this put me on weak tight inverse tilt. How aggressive should I be with the bottom end of the straight? I know I should have re-raised the flop. Where do I go from there if he calls? caps? (This is UTG's first orbit, so no read)

I know I butchered this hand horribly, but I'm trying to learn from it in general.

Party Poker 1/2 Hold'em (9 handed)

Preflop: Hero is BB with 7[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img], 6[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img].
UTG raises, UTG+1 calls, MP1 folds, MP2 calls, MP3 folds, CO calls, Button folds, SB calls, Hero calls.

Flop: (12 SB) 8[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img], T[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img], 9[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] (6 players)
SB checks, Hero bets, UTG raises, UTG+1 calls, MP2 calls, CO calls, SB folds, Hero calls.

Turn: (11 BB) 4[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] (5 players)
Hero checks, UTG bets, UTG+1 calls, MP2 calls, CO calls, Hero calls.

River: (16 BB) K[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] (5 players)
Hero checks, UTG checks, UTG+1 bets, MP2 calls, CO folds, Hero calls, UTG calls.

Final Pot: 20 BB
Main Pot: 20 BB, between Hero, UTG, UTG+1 and MP2.

Only one hand beats you here, QJ. That's not usually a raising hand, so I think you're pretty safe here. Capping the flop and leading the turn is mandatory; if you get raised on the turn you can worry about whether villain has something better than an overpair.

You have a ton of people trapped on the flop so 3 bet it and then lead the turn.

I'm fine with just calling the flop (waiting until the turn because you have an extremely vulnerable hand and you're not going to drive anyone out), but you've either got to lead the turn or check-raise it if it's a blank (as it was here -- I'd probably go for the check-raise since UTG doesn't seem like he would slow down, and with all the other players in, *somebody* will likely bet it). Your equity against a lone jack or queen is enormous now, so you want to get in as much money as possible on the turn.

I'd also push hard on the river unless you were met with a lot of resistance on the turn.

Don't do that. If you need to take a break, then do so (you don't have to leave your tables, just sit out for an orbit or two).

What is his hand extremely vulnerable to? And would you say the same if he flopped a baby flush?

You must check-raise the flop. Given the way you played the flop, you must check-raise the turn.

Pause before you act on the flop. Tell yourself I am going to post this hand. I am going to post this hand.

Play accordingly.
