Default ??? for Josh Arieh and others (Paul P perhaps)

First of all Josh, congrats on your showing at the WSOP!

Sorry if this has been discussed already. However, I would like some detailed discussion on the hand where Josh got caught up in the heat of the moment and critcized his opponent for even calling preflop with AJ I believe it was. I don't want to rehash his verbal statments because IMO Josh has made a sincere public apology of his behavior.

I can't remember what his chip count was or how much of his stack was in the middle before he called allin with only a draw.

That's why I am not totally sold that Josh's call was correct putting his tournament life at stake.

Maybe Josh, Paul or someone can bring out these elements and can offer their view on Josh's thought process and play of the hand.

Thanks in advance,

KC

If you search for it you will see Josh's exact thoughts on why he did it.

Default ***Help anyone?***or can we just re-open discussion please???***

I searched for posts by "josh arieh" with the date criteria and it only brought up 2 threads which did not include this subject matter.

Anyone remember the name of it?

Better yet, can we just re-open discussion on this?

Thanks.

KC

If you do a search on rgp for posts by Josh and Harry Demetriou (not sure on spelling) you can find both of their takes on the hand.

Hey KC, If you read super system, it's the GAMBLE philosophy at work...

Part of it is hoping that the opponent folds, but you are left with OUTS even if behind.

I was just preusing my SS last night, I hadn't cracked it in a long time.

This got ME in trouble in my last live tourney, got crushed 2 out of 2 and I was sent home early.

Yes I have SS and understand the theory you are referring to. However Josh was not the one who went allin not wanting a call but if so had outs. It was Josh who called Harry D's bet which set Josh allin.

Josh was completely potcommitted. I believe he was getting well over 3-1, maybe even 4-1.
Harry has even admitted he raise was wrong as Josh was clearly potcomitted.

Here is the thread:

Thanks for the link sdplayerb...I also found Josh's explanation on rgp. I wasn't sure of his stack and now I see clearly he was pot committed. Harry even said later he failed to realize Josh was committed and his setting Josh in was incorrect.
