how the hell do you play plain old risk at dominategame? when i started the client it immediately started asking me to draw my own borders on the map.

You need to download a map. You can get one from the web page, then save it in the maps folder on your hard drive. Let me know if you want a game after you get it working.

what are you talking about? I've been playing exculsively at dominategame.com now, and only downloaded the initial exe to install it. Avoid creating maps, even though you can. Its like p*ker, look in the gallery (USERS) and see tables, sit down, and the "sit'n''go" starts up when 6 people are signed up. Dependeding on the type of game, it can be much shorter than the matches at the other site ,war games. The one draw back is your turn is only 1 minute, no longer, if you go over 1 minute over time per turn, you lose.

Yes. It will always ask you to create a map. Just ignore that. Click on the "users" button up top. Then you can either join a game, or click on "new" down at the bottom to create your own.

And you can create your own game. the interface has changed a bit since I last used it (originally like 2 years ago), but the above should get you started.

which maps are 100% the same as straight risk? i'd probably be up for a game if people can play quickly btw.

any port forwarding necessary to host?
