Default monitor help

I have two dell monitors. One is plugged into the VGA outlet and one is plugged into the DVI outlet. However, both monitors are showing the same screen. How do I change it so that its one big screen?

right click your desktop, go to properties, go to settings, select the second monitor and click "extend my windows desktop onto this monitor"

thank you...much appriciated.

two more questions...Right now, my background is the same on both monitors. Is there any way to either stretch the background over both or to have different backgrounds on each?

Also is there any way to stretch the blue bar at the bottom of the screen over both monitors?

TIA for all help.

That's more complicated. It can be done, if you get a widescreen one from www.deviantart.com or somewhere like that, but it's more trouble than it's worth

For the taskbar, you can get apps to do it for you, but their name escapes me for the minute

Cool thanks man. After the one month trial is up, is it really worth $40 to keep this? What else do you use it for other than the wallpaper thing?

I wouldn't know, because I didn't pay $40 to register mine.

It is a nice program. You can use a hotkey to switch things between monitors as well, set hot keys to open up programs etc.. I'm sure you can find away around paying 40 bucks, but if you can't it's worth the 40 bucks imo.
