Heartbreak in fantasy baseball
Our fantasy baseball championship is best of three. Last week was week one of the finals. I'm trailing 310.3 to 309.7 heading into Sunday night baseball. I have Chase Utley. He has no one.
First inning - Utley singes. Whoooo hooooo - there's the lead. Third inning - Utley K. Damn. Back down. 0-3 the rest of the way, I lose by .6 - now I need to sweep 2. |

Re: Heartbreak in fantasy baseball
i got knocked out of the playoff race in mine when my opponent needed 2 runs, a SB, and a HR from Chad Tracey in the Sunday night game (or at least to get that much more than Troy Glaus)
Glaus sits b/c of his knee. Tracey steals a base and scores a run in the 3rd. He hits a 2 run homer with 2 outs in the 9th. goodbye playoffs |

Re: Heartbreak in fantasy baseball
Was this a rotisserie league where if Tracy had gotten 10 runs and 10 SBs but no HR, you would have gone to playoffs?
If so, what a tragic loss. Wow. |

Re: Heartbreak in fantasy baseball
in our H2H league, 4 played 5 in the first round, and tied 8-8 for the week, and the tie breaker was ERA pitching. he did not know this, and ended up pitching someone who raised his era, but lowered his whip. if he would not have pitched this guy, he would have advanced. to the next round.
in the consolation game, he played the 3rd seed (who lost to the 6th seed), and he tied for the week AGAIN, and lost again. |

[/ QUOTE ] yup. exactly. what made it worse was that i was something like 1-8 this year in games decided on Sunday. so i kind of "knew" he'd somehow pull it off. |
