Default Is leaving the tag on your Baseball cap a trend?

I live in London and am over 30 so am not that up on latest US trends. Here, I've noticed quite a lot of people wearing branded baseball caps with the sales tag still on.

At first I assumed the person concerned was umm, "special" but I've seen it a few times now, and now I wonder if it might be to prove the hat is a real branded item..

Has anyone else seen this? Is this cool? Because it looks really stupid.

If you're having trouble visualising this, imagine the below on your head.

Not really new, being a complete tool has been in for about a decade now. This is just another expression of such.

imagining this with the flat-brimmed hats and tagged timbs makes me want to wretch. it is definately not cool by my standards. of course that isn't saying anything.

I think leaving the tag on must be a UK thing. The current, and by current I mean 2 years or so, trend in the U.S. is to buy a fitted cap, not bend the bill at all, leave the hologram sticker on(under the bill) and tilt it in various absurdly gay ways.

[/ QUOTE ] ooops, I just remembered people leaving the tag on their Starter caps like 16-17 years ago. It was usally the black kids, and I assumed it was because they were going to return the hats after the wore them for a little while.

j/k about the return thing, but it was usually black guys, and it was ALWAYS Starter caps. I use to have one of the ill Starter hoodie coats.
