Are you one of these cheating bastards whose DPed on me these last two weeks?

I'm not normally into that sort of thing, but your wife DID tell me she was cool with it.

HAHA. Your witty response doesn't really make sense, but A for effort.

Seriously though, the only reason to Disconnect Protect is to cheat. If you have a shtty internet connection - which mine (SBC) is pretty shtty at times - and you are so concerned about it, get another one. Or use a dual internet connection like modem and DSL. The majority of disconnect protects I've seen are from people who want to see a "free" showdown having a marginal hand that is likely beat, and not wanting to call the bet. Thus cheating.

It's an angle, and a player gets what, 2 disconnect-protects in a 25 hour period? That's not too bad, and you'll wish you had it when you are jamming the nuts on the river and your wife unplugs the router/modem (happened to me).

I some disconnect against me a couple of very obvious times. It doesn't bother me too much. It's just more information that fuels my picture of what this player is thinking.

A good player should never feel the need to resort to this sort of angle.

If anything, it gives the rest of the players at my table an edge, so it's to my disadvantage
