Default Crazy Pineapple Dillemma

Say you have a hand like K [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] K [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] J [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]

Flop has 4 [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] 3 [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] 9 [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]

What circumstances would you hold onto the flush draw and give up the K [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] ?

jordanx - Were you meaning CP-8 or CP-high? Doesn't matter much. I don't like to play overpairs in CP unless the game is short handed or very, very tight. There's simply too good a chance you're up against an opponent with a flopped set or two pairs.

That is a good question. And one of the reasons I never play that game.

If you're against 1 or 2 oponents keep the king. If you're against more than that go for the flush draw. You need much better hands in Pineapple than you would in Holdem to win. Overpairs do not hold up often enough to warrant keeping the king unless the game is fairly tight and you aren't up against many oponents.

I agree. We tried to play it one night in my home game and it was more frustrating than fun. Not my kind of game.

Ok listen...Anyone who bashes crazy pineapple clearly has no soul. Texas Hold em? Pot Limit Omaha? Razz? Chinese Poker Johnny Chan Style? No, no ladies and gentlemen, these are not the top games as there is only ONE top game: Crazy Pineapple. There isn't a more riveting game of skill, determination, and guts. The other games...Ha, leave them to the pros, I'll stick with Pineapple. And if you don't all play pineapple on a regular basis and show the game its proper respect, I will send Ha Seung Jin after you and have him sit on you.

I'm out
