just saw that scowell will be on oprah tomorrow at 4p. that is probably already factored into the price (interview was probably taped and word leaked out that it is another 60 minutes of "carrie is the winner"). another hour of carrie-pumping on oprah is worth alot. if i had seen this scheduled interview i would have bought some carries when she was 23.
price may go higher. i have 58 scotts because i could not dump them when the story broke and he has no sale value. i expect he may go next unless he kicks ass AND ryan says something to help him. i upped my constantines to 100, dropped my anwar's to 35 ( i had a net gain of $42 on the anwar trades), i have 205 anthony and am now the proud owner of 172 Bo Bice. i KNOW, 100% certain that i will make great profit on constantine when i sell him (avg cost was $3.85). constantine will go further than he deserves. my apples are officially in the bo basket. average cost on the 172 shares is $21.35 so i am very happy with that holding. carrie needs to fall on her face just once and the market will correct. if she performs well for the rest of the time, she will top 3 but i still say she can't win. my biggest fear, which i think is a strong possibility, would be constantine and bo both making top 4 and the rocker vote gets split. other than selling, i'm done trading for the 2005 season. no more buys for granny. 40 vonzell (MUCH better singer than carrie imo) 58 scott 100 constantine 35 anwar 205 anthony 172 bo go bo go  die carrie die

i still say the best bet from a talent standpoint is the bo+anwar combo. however, this carrie+simon thing has screwed that up a bit.
you got them bo's VERY cheap, no? u bought him early, right?

I got my bos at about 6.7 weighted average. I have full faith in you gm but I don't really agree with your confidence in Anwar. I just feel that he is slightly forgettable (albeit with a great voice). I remember him hitting some great notes but I never get the sense he is as loved as Carrie (or even Bo). But as I often say, I am kinda dumb so I could be wrong.

well, i never declared anwar the winner. i always said to weigh the cost and buy both anwar and bo together. i've switched back and forth with the equity being heavier on one, then next week switching back. anwar very talented and still a threat to win it all. it had been too early for anyone (COWELL INCLUDED) to pick a single winner. not only that, but the mo-fo has a real conflict of interest imo by doing this.
however, because scowell threw the gloves off, i am ready to declare bo as my choice for the ultimate winner.
