Re: early tourney push or fold...or call?!@
I'd push. Any spade will win you the hand (unless there's a set there and the board pairs, but this is probably a low buy in tourney move.) The CO is going to call but I want this big pot. Your A outs *might* be good as well.

Re: early tourney push or fold...or call?!@
I don't like this. I give you 7 or 9 outs. I'm thinking CO has either AK or AA and the MP1 has either a flush draw or top pair. So, I think the ace is not an out. Now, you are offered a bet of 630:1710. That is nice at about 2.7:1, but if you have only 7 outs, you need about than 3:1 for a call in a cash game. Add to this, the CO can put you all-in on the turn (a bet you'd have to call) and you don't want that. I fold and wait for a better opportunity. I wish the action had gone differently on the flop, but you adapt and fold in my opinion.

easy fold [/ QUOTE ] I hate responses like this. Obviously this is not an easy fold or our man wouldn't have come to us with the question. Why is this an easy fold for you? CSC |

Re: early tourney push or fold...or call?!@
First, I fold this preflop.
On the flop I think you have too much hand to fold. I call and check call the rest of my chips on the turn. CSC did a good job of showing how good a price your getting. Worst case scenario your odds are just short, best case you have 12 outs (although I agree thats somewhat rare). Thing is, the times you have 7 outs and the CO has the other spades, you are ahead of him. So, I take back what I said about check calling, push here, and take your calculated gamble with 2:1 odds, or be a 3:1 dog for the main pot and ahead for the side pot. |

how do you interpret CO\'s call...?
pre-flop:
MP1 limped CO raises flop: MP1's all-in CO...calls... MP1 has Kx. I was pretty sure of that at the table. I wasn't sure about CO. wtf is a call? is a call: 1. giving other callers a chance to join the fun b/c he's that strong or 2. a crying call hoping others will fold out and he's hoping for help on the turn & river...? fwiw, i thought it was 2 and I pushed. I figured I'm only a slight dog to Kx to MP1 and I may have some fold equity from CO (he still has 1k chips). if not, if I've read him correctly, I don't mind him calling...if not, if he's got a set or something, i still have a chance to outrun him too; am i way off here? your thoughts are appreciated! |

Re: how to interpret CO\'s call...
I think you had a pretty good prasp of it, although your impression that you have FE is off. You have none. He is not folding for like 400 more into a 1600 or so pot.

Re: how do you interpret CO\'s call...?
Only if the CO was a donk would he fold if you pushed. He's already called a large bet on the flop and he's going to be getting great odds to call your push. However, I have seen players do really stupid folds in these situations.. but I wouldn't push thinking I have FEquity.
