Default Need a heads up on Florida poker. Orlando or Tampa early April

Where is the best place to play? I am clueless about Florida so details are appreciated. I think I will be closest to Orlando but I am not certain.

Don't get your hopes up. There is a Hard Rock Casino in Tampa, but the word casino is used very loosely. It's all slot machines.

If you want table games, you'll have to get on a boat that cruises in international waters.

And the biggest limit spread in Florida, thanks to our wonderful state laws, is $1-2. Yeah, good times.

Ocean Jewel Trip Report, St. Petersburg (Tampa)

This is your best bet in the area. Ocean Jewel is muey muey bueno.

If you like tournaments, check out Derby Lane, also in St Pete (these two places are within 15-20 minutes of the Hard Rock in Tampa. Daily tournaments at 1 PM, $45 entry. The tournaments are well run.
