Pineapple & Crazy Pineapple Tournaments
Bally's is starting to hold Pineapple and Crazy Pineapple tourneys during the day next week...I believe Wed & Thurs. I'm thinking about trying it out, but am a bit more interested in strategy...i've tried searching for info on these games...with little success.
anyone have some tips or directions on where to head next? much obliged... |

Re: Pineapple & Crazy Pineapple Tournaments
I have seen very little written on either. One thing I think I saw was hands like QQx are sucker hands in the 8/b version. (I imagaing AA2s is the best starting hand, and any hand with 3 wheel cards or 3 straight cards with a suit (A-8)are probably pretty strong.) Hands like AK[2-5], especially with a suit sounds strong, too. 7-Q seem like poison cards.

Re: Pineapple & Crazy Pineapple Tournaments
thanks - seems similar to omaha hi/lo then i suppose - which makes sense, 3 cards instead of 4. i'm also guessing there's much more action in the crazy version, but i was just hoping to get a little more insight before going and sitting in on a tourney...
thanks again... |

Re: Pineapple & Crazy Pineapple Tournaments
Gambler's Book Club (www.gamblersbook.com) are selling the only two books on pineapple I know of. One short book/pamphlet on straight pineapple hi (discard before the flop) and one book on crazy pineapple hi/lo.
I haven't read them, so I can't comment on them. I am going to buy them though, since I am a big fan of crazy pineapple. If you happen to hear about another book on crazy pineapple (especially hi only) i would apprecieate of you'd let me know (either through the other poker-forum or by a pm). |
