any luck with 2001 FP's from Ebay?

I'm in the market for a 2001FP, and while I don't mind waiting for a coupon (1800x1200 on my laptop, so 4tablings not a problem) i'd like to get one sooner rather than later. Has anyone had success purchasing one on ebay? If so, which seller(s) were effective?

Shipping is gonna cost you 68 bucks. That raises the price a good amount. I however don't have a good person on ebay. I bought mine back when there was a good sale on dell.com. Sorry

I know you have the money for it, so basically my only suggestion is to watch feedback.

That one looks fine, and isn't all that expensive even after shipping. Not a bonus-whoring type deal, but not overly expensive.

I was impatient, and bought mine off eBay. The seller had 100% positive feedback, and everything went smoothly.

However, the LCD did come with one dead pixel. It's a soft blue color, and not even noticeable, but it's there. I'm not sure if it's common to have one or two dead pixels even if you get them straight from Dell, but it's something to think about.

I had a great experience on eBay. The seller and I mutually decided to make our transaction on PayPal so that he could avoid paying eBay listing fees, he gave me a small discount too. I got lucky and my 2405FPW came without ANY dead/stuck pixels. [img]/images/graemlins/smile.gif[/img]

Just make sure to check their ratings first. And I don't mean seeing the positive feedback percentage only, read them to find out what his buyers say about him, etc.

When I bought my laptop and when I got my 17" LCD from Dell for my bday, they both came with a dead pixel or two.

I got one of mine from ebay and it works fine. I think it was just under 450 shipped.
