My unrefundable second WSOP seat won at Partypoker
I like the "customer is always right" attitude of large American companies. They don't mind losing a few dollars if that is the price of keeping a customer happy. Unfortunately this doesn't seem to be the case with Partypoker. They are not willing to be flexible even if it doesn't cost them any money. Here is my third letter to them: As I wrote you before I made a mistake when registering for a tournament and signed up for WSOP Step 5 instead of Step 5. (Those are two different types of tourneys, listed under one another with the same $1000 entry fee). I didn't want to play the WSOP satellite because I have won a seat on Pokerstars earlier. Your answer was that now I have to play WSOP Step 6. I played it thinking that problem solved if I don't win it. (Un)fortunately I won that table also, so I have two seats now for the same tournament. Do you think you could help me find a solution to this dilemma? Best regards, XXX Here is their Srinivas' reply ( I especially like that he wants me to get my refund from pokerstars): Dear XXX Thank you for contacting us. With regards to your query, unfortunately we would not be able to refund you with any amount for the particular entry that you have won. As per the policies, any extra entry won above 1 entry at PartyPoker would be refunded. Since the other entry that you have won is not at partypoker, this policy would also be not applicable. Hence, we would not be able to issue a refund for this particualar entry. We suggest you also to contact PokerStars in this regard. We are sorry to inform you that, we would not be able to refund any amount for this tournament. Note: Please do not disclose your password to any individual/organization claiming to represent us. We will never ask you for the password to your account. If you receive any email or phone call from anyone requesting you to provide your password please report it to us immediately. Our Customer Care Department is available 24/7 to assist you via email. Thank you for choosing us as your online gaming site! Srinivas Poker Customer Care My answer: Could you give me Mike Sexton's e-mail address? I have known him for 10 years and would like to discuss this matter with him. Now it is Priyanka"s turn. She completely disregards what I wrote and just repeats Srinivas' answer: Thank you for contacting us. We see that you have won a WSOP Package. Kindly understand that only players who have multiple entries into the Partypoker.com WSOP Tournament will be refunded. Since you have won only one entry at PartyPoker.com we will not be able to offer any refund and you are required to play in the World Series Of Poker tournament. We apologize but will not be able to offer any refund. This is standard operating procedure at partypoker. Deny any initial requests made by its users and then ignore any future requests.

See if one of the sites will allow you to represent them in different WSOP events totalling 10K in entry fees.

Re: My unrefundable second WSOP seat won at Partypoker
Yea, I would try to get into the other WSOP events. Either one of the sites should go for that since you are advertising for them by just going there. If you use the seat from PokerStars, Party would get no advertising.
Is it transferable? If so, you can get at least the buy-in for the Step back. I know you will hear this from many others - but, I actually already am planning on being there during the week and don't have a seat. If it is transferrable, we can discuss this. |

Ask them if they could reserve you a seat for 2006...witholding your money is wrong... but when has that ever stopped Party before.

Is the seat transferrable?
Can you sell it to someone else for less than face? (hey something is better than nothing). |

[ QUOTE ] You have obviously offended Krishna in one of your lives. [/ QUOTE ] And do you think we are even now? [/ QUOTE ] Depends. Do you honestly believe that being out your entry fee, your time in the tournament, and the personal anguish in dealing with this hassle at the folks at Party squares you karmicly for any transgressions in this and former lives? If not then I strongly suggest you enter another WSOP level 5. It's like a freeroll for the soul. |
