Default Will I ever learn?

Don't have a clue how to use the converter on UB so:
$25 PLO
Mr. Evil $7.90
Mr. Putz $24.10 SB
Hand 9 [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]5 [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]7 [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]8 [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]

Mr. Evil calls 4 otheres call Mr. Putz completes BB calls

Flop 6 [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]8 [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]3 [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]

Mr. Putz bets .25 (stupid bet right?)
BB calls
Mr. Evil raise to $2.75
Folds around to me. What can he have trips? flush draw? I like my straight draw so I call.
BB Folds

Turn: J [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]
No help to Mr. Evil I pick up a lame flush draw in addition to my straight draw. 14 outs
Mr. Putz: checks (too weak?)
Mr. Evil: all in $4.90
Mr. Putz calls

River 6 [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]

Questions: How was this played? Any help would be appreciated.

Don't play str8 draws for a bet/raise when there is flush draw on the board. 'nuff said.

This advice is very weak tight. I think you played it fine.

With such a powerful draw out of position, I'd try to get the money in on the flop. You are ahead of a dry set, and the villain could easily have a much weaker hand, perhaps even one he would fold if you show some aggression. In the actual hand, you were a small favorite on the flop.

On the turn, why not push? You don't have to discount your diamond outs very much against one opponent. I think the chance he has a higher diamond draw is about 10%. You are likely to be about even against some strong hands, but not much of a favorite against a weak hand. Give the weak hands a chance to fold, and don't give a free card to what might be a pure draw.
