A9s UTG is a call in my book, raising invites only beeter hands to call you, and they will. LAPs will CC with AT+. UTG you mainly playing for the flush but if you hit the pair you must use your skills to work out where your at. (A8s is the same)

This is sort of a personal preference decision. Some of the more aggressive players will tell you to raise, but calling is fine. Folding sucks.

There will be plenty of horrible hands calling you - this is the reason you raise, you make them play their hands badly as much as possible. This is a Loose/Passive game, he said (and I believe he said it was live, so the players are probably even worse.)

You're going to have the best starting hand often here when it's short handed like this. The raise is easy. You want to call if it's full ring UTG, though.

Dude its a loose passive game. There will be no limp rerasisng w/ AA or KK unless you hate money.

To OP, easy raise short handed, easy limp and decent raise in ring game.

People, please help me out here...my buddy and I are disputing...A9 suited under the gun in a LOOSE PASSIVE 3-6 live game, what's the play here? Call, fold, raise?

[/ QUOTE ]

Folding is horrid. I like calling, personally...but raising can't be awful either.

[ QUOTE ]
I am an aggressive player though and I three-bet with most pairs in position

[/ QUOTE ]

This is troubling...if you said something about isolation, ok, but if you are just randomly three-betting 66-88 with a bunch of people in the pot you are spewing.
