Just on the topic. I only really play live so I really hate "Table coach's" not only do they hurt my winnings but they also put people down. Who cares if a guy oonly called down with the nut straight. This is SSHE the WSOP, he is here for fun not to get a lecture. Plus half the time the table guru is some 50year old greek guy whos got so many leaks its ludricous. So when they have to reload after seeing every flop for the last hour I say:

"What are you doing old-timer, stop blowing your pension money!"

The one I get the biggest chuckle out of is, "don't tap the glass." But that's not any better than the original person's whinning really.

I usually turn chat off. Hear no evil, see no evil.

Before promoting an officer, Napoleon used to famously ask his generals if the promotee in question was "lucky."

The generals were always unerved by this question and confused as to why such an apparently great and educated man would be concerned about luck.

But Napoleon knew that if the man was perceived as being "lucky" by his troops then that meant the man had a good grasp of probabiltiy and the odds of an attack succeding or failing.

How's that for pretentiousness, malorum?
