Looks fine to me. I would just call the reraise as you did as well. No reason to get all in if you can save a bit of your stack if the board pairs on the turn. Only monster hands like the one you mentioned and this freak scenario have you in a ton of trouble

i'm pretty new to PLO, so bear with me...

how can you afford not to push all-in right here? if the turn completes a straight or flush, you get no action. if the turn does not complete, are going to begrudgingly call off the rest of your money, or fold? or is the object of waiting for the turn strictly to avoid a paired board?

The situation I am talking about is one where you both have most of your stacks in, but have say $30 each and the pot is $150 or so. There is no reason to go all in for your last $30 on the flop because 1) If you make your straight or flush a set will still have to call you because of pot odds and 2) You can save that $30 if the board pairs the turn and you are drawing dead. By waiting to shove on a non paired turn you still win the same amount you normally would, but lose slightly less on a paired board

So, you're saying that, in a hypothetical hand where you still have money after the flop, you'll fold the turn when a scare card comes but he won't (when a straight or flush card comes)?

I guess that makes sense, if you're 100% sure he has a set.
