This ought to be interesting. Let's hope that the new 2 justices are a little more competent than some other recent Bush appointees

While his vote counts for the same value, he gets to assign who writes the decisions whenever he is in the majority (he is top in seniority automatically)

He has managerial duties for the entire judiciary (a big impact on how things are run, dealings with Congress on budgets, proposing new judgeships, etc.)

Same as with Roberts:

Bush nominates a person.
Democrats in the Senate complain about the nominee.
Republicans in the Senate confirm the nominee.
The nominee gets sworn in.
