Default Misplayed AA on every street...

$100-200 2-5 live NL game
8 handed

UTG is a lag who will bet any piece of the flop.
It was rare for there not to be a preflop raise on this table.

Hero is UTG+1 and dealt A[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]A[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]

Preflop: UTG (laggy dude) limps, Hero limps, MP1 limps, MP2 folds, CO folds, Button limps, SB completes, BB checks.

D'oh! Hero went for a limp reraise and the table decided not to raise.

Flop: Q[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]T[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]9[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] (6 players)
Pot: T$25

UTG bets $20, Hero raises to $40, folded to UTG who calls

Turn: T[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] (2 players)
Pot: $105

UTG bets $40, Hero calls

River: Q[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] (2 players)
Pot: $185

UTG bets $60, Hero folds

I forgot to include stack sizes.

Hero has $600
UTG has $350

Would the villian be the type to raise AQ? KJ could be a possibility here and I'm guessing if he had a T he would have check-raised the turn. I think you played it ok considering your bad luck with the preflop limp-reraise tactic. If the river blanks I call the river bet.

Hero kills himself after flop. Hero resurrects himself on turn just so he can kill himself in a more brutal way.

if most stacks at this table are bigger than yours, I like the limp reraise, however if most stacks are about the size of villain's I like a regular raise.

the way it played, I think you should raise to 70 on the flop and then if he still bets in to you on the turn, fold.

Isn't going for the over limp-reraise a little too tricky here? You should just raise preflop and hope to play the pot with position or at least get some money in there when you have the nuts.

As you played it raise more on the flop then be done with the hand if UTG decides to get tricky and donk bet the turn.

Hero should not go for the limp re-raise if everyone has UTG's size stack

[/ QUOTE ]

I was middle stack at the table.

The stacks went something like this:

SB: $70
BB: $200
UTG: $400
Hero: $600
MP1: $400 (very aggressive player)
MP2: $900
CO: $1300 (very aggressive player)
Button: $800

[ QUOTE ]
Hero should bet $70 on the flop

[/ QUOTE ]

I figured that this was my first big mistake. Too small of a raise with a draw heavy board and the field to act behind me.

[ QUOTE ]
Hero calls on the river to a brick

[/ QUOTE ]

That was my plan. I thought that he had at least a queen, maybe a ten. His betting into me again on the turn made me think that he had put me on a draw. Is this incorrect thinking?
