Default When Should I Go to Vegas?

Hello all --

Our standard yearly Vegas trip is usually the middle weekend of the NCAA basketball tourney.

This year, that's Easter weekend - not sure if that's going to fly.

So, I'm interested in opinions on Final Four weekend, and also any weekends Jan-Apr with big tournaments/any other reason I might want to be out there.

Thanks in advance for your recommendations...

Complete the phrase, "between now and April, I'd head to Vegas XXXX weekend, because....."

I did my very first Vegas trip as a relative poker newbie during last year's NCAA Final 4 weekend. Despite my newbiness at the time, I still managed to come out a small winner. Maybe I was just lucky, but the tables were very active, and there seemed to be lots of big pots.

But the NCAA didn't fall on Easter last year (I don't think so, anyway). Don't know how that'll affect things.

Good luck.

My favorite NCAA weekend for Vegas is the first weekend of the tournament. Tons of games to bet, and tons again the next day to catch up with

I'll second this. We made it Thursday through Sat. (rounds 1 and 2 of the tourney) 4 years in a row.
