NL MTT blinds 30/60
hero 2170
SB 1810

hero UTG with A [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]K [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]
calls 60 and raises 240

everybody folds, SB calls 270

flop: A [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]9 [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]7 [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]

SB checks, hero all in

(both players tight and aggressive)

I think you needed to slow down a little. Especially in the early stages of MTT's players are highly likely to call raises with Ax. I make a 2/3 bet here and see what happens. Going all in may force hands like AT out that you have dominated and you wont get the right chip extraction out of the situation.

I'd bet 400 on the flop. If he doesn't have a hand, he'll probably fold, so it accomplishes the same as your push, but you're risking less.

Should I fold if he raise or push after that 400 bet ?

Why all in? A large flop bet says Ive got AK, if he hangs around smells like a set.

you seriously think the average internet player calls that size raise pre-flop with a weaker ace, and then looks for a reason to fold when he pairs his ace on the flop? Most of them will be gagging to get their stack in the middle in this situation.
