I don't mind the calls on the flop and turn. But you can't really be ahead of much on the river. A call doesn't make sense to me.

pot odds. plus, I want to see what this guy had that he was calling a raise pf, and micro betting every street.

Too passive on your part. I'd figure SB for a modest PP: 44-99, no set. He'd like to build the pot against a missed A -- and still be able to run away if you hit. It's possible he has AQ or AJ, in which case your call-call-call strategy will work. But that's pretty remote, especially given that he's still firing on the river.

If you're willing to call his first 60 and put in another 140 by the river, why not maximize your impact by raising his flop bet? He bets 60; you make it 200. Now you're doing something to take command of the pot. And your bet is perfectly consistent with other starting hands that you might have had, such as AT or JJ.

In that case, most of the time he folds his weaker PP or his Ax. If he reraises, you're gone. If he calls, check/fold from here.

Alternatively, because it's the first hand of a low-entry-fee turbo, you may not want to get in a shouting match with some kamikaze nut. All-ins on the first orbit are distressingly common. In that case, fold the flop and move on.

Bottom line: fold or raise the flop. Try to settle the hand right there. Otherwise you're just dissipating chips on a thin draw.

Spend those turn+river chips raising this flop. Fold to a re-raise/push. Check behind w/ a flop raise call and an unimproved turn. You will get your turn+river card for a slightly cheaper cost - taking it down on the flop a great number of times.

I mean either he beat you with a pair, and you saved your bacon. Or you won and wanted more chips, well if he didn't have a pair he'd probably fold if you reraised and if he did he'd call. Hard to fold with the flop. And betting more than a 100 on stars and there's a good chance you'll be picking up 30 in blinds, so you I think you did a reasonable thing.
