Wouldn't you want to check-call if he was bluffing because you have an Ace, and even if you're wrong you have outs?

Well no, because he might have any two overcards, in which case I don't want to let him check behind something like Kx on the river, and he may fold a hand sometimes that has 6 outs vs me. It just so happened that he had a good overpair here, but if you aren't checkraising the turn after checkraising the flop at least some small percentage of the time with less than top pair, I think you are giving up something.

Also, I'm confident in my read that he wouldn't 3bet here when I'm ahead, so I lose a fraction of a bet when I'm behind.

granted the original hand was ugly, but doesnt J10 or KJ type hands fold the turn alot here?

or are you saying that his play isnt worth it to make those fold?

[/ QUOTE ]ok lets give this guy v excessive action so that hell fold that 6out draw when hell bluff on the river when he misses anyway... ok.
this hand is just bad. wouldve been really funny if this guy had checked back on the end.

It would have been funnier if he had TT and 3-bet.

Do you really think that

a) the button has a reasonable chance of having JT or KJ based on the flop action? (low probability)

and

b) if he does have one of those hands, he is now going to fold on the turn now that he has two overcards and a gutshot after getting check-raised? (low probability)

low probability * low probability = don't check raise the turn

overcards dont fold here and you get 3 bet or called down way too much by A high and pairs.
