Bad river raise from me?

No reads on villian. Is this river raise horrible?

Party Poker 2/4 Hold'em (8 handed) converter

Preflop: Hero is CO with J[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img], J[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img].
3 folds, MP2 :#A500AF(Villian)/ raises, Hero 3-bets, 3 folds, MP2 :#A500AF(Villian)/ calls.

Flop: (7.50 SB) Q[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img], J[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img], A[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] (2 players)
Villian checks, Hero bets, Villian calls.

Turn: (4.75 BB) T[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] (2 players)
Villian checks, Hero bets, Villian calls.

River: (6.75 BB) A[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] (2 players)
Villian bets, Hero raises, Villian calls.

Final Pot: 10.75 BB

looks good to me. Calling would be bad.

Please don't include results. If you can edit them out, do it.

This raise looks reasonable, but I don't think it's going to be a huge EV difference whether you call or raise, unless you know Villain would check/raise the nuts here.

Really, the only hands that beat hero here seem very unlikely the way the hand played out. I think the thougher choice would be whether to call a 3-bet or cap if that situation arose.

Then, of course, there are the times when Villain is waiting for the turn to raise 2-pair and runs into the 4-straight. Capping would be major spewing - the river raise I like, but not overwhelmingly.

The more I think about it I agree a cap would be spewing. The possiblity that this guy is waiting for the turn to raise a two pair hand is significant and this increases the chances that we are behind on the river.

I agree. Most villains at 2/4 don't necessarily raise that light from MP, so two broadway cards are a strong possibility. people also love the slowplay, so don't eliminate possibilities by earlier behavior too easily.
