Default What is a Sempron?

CompUSA is having a sale tonight with a

Compaq Presario Sempron 3100+ 1.8GHz, 512MB RAM for 199.99.

Sempron is an AMD chip? Is there an equivalent Intel chip to compare it with?

I cant find that deal. Could you give me a link? And to answer your question Sempron is an AMD chip.
