Default delayed, desperate bluff

I am pretty new on the table and have $1k and villain covers. I have no read and I doubt villain has any on me since I never have seen him before. 5/10 NL online.

I limp in utg+1 w/ As8s. Villain on the button raises it up to $40. BB calls and I follow.

The flop is T 8 2 rainbow. BB checks and I intend to c/r if villain bets and BB calls. If villain checks id lead any undercard and probably a jack. Anyway, villain bets 2/3 of the pot and BB calls, I c/r a pot sized raise. Villain calls and BB folds. At this time I place Villain on TT-AA.

The turn is a 9 completing the rainbow. I check. As Im representing a set, maybe I should lead? anyway, villain checks behind.

The river is a 7, making a four-straight on the board. Now, whatever Id raise the flop w/ beats villains overpair. So I fire out 4.2/7 of the pot. Is this trustworthy?
