More details fresh off the press!
Talked with Gary at MGM some more today. Showed him the list and (work in progress) seating chart of about 60 players. He said no problem, bring as many as you want. They will take care of us!
Currently there are 5 full tables with a few latecomers, alternates, and maybies to make up for the slackers. I tried to make the lists according to who signed up first, and who wanted to play what games. Thus any imperfections in my process are hereby officially irrelevant - anyone who knows me knows that I will kick you in the nuts if you don't like it anyway, so there's no point in bitching about it! Anyone who isn't seated right away will probably not have to wait very long. Changing tables often will be encouraged, so we can all inter-mingle and socialize, not to mention talk chit and drinking plentifully! If you aren't in the game you want to be in, just switch tables! Anyone who is on the list for a table, but isn't there by seating time, will be bumped for the first alternate in line, and will go to the bottom of the alternate list. The alternate list will probably be continually rolled over to allow for those who have said they'll be coming in on a late flight, working late, etc. I want to make sure that the chip runners and floor get taken care of as well as the dealers and waitresses will. Therefore I'd really like it if everyone fessed up a tip for the floor when you confirm your place on the seating chart (I will have a clipboard with all the names and initial seating arrangements). A few bux per person would make their day, so be generous guys. I'll bring a hat or something to collect the tips in. You can tip the chip runners individually, just don't buy your chips at the cage, let the runners do it for you. If you are too cheap to tip don't be surprised if I forget where I put your name on the list, and then kick you in the nuts to boot! [img]/images/graemlins/grin.gif[/img] Seriously, we need to come off as a classy bunch of buoys and gulls here, so let's go ahead and be classy about how we behave at the mgm! You're going to need a nametag to get preferential seating treatment by both myself and the staff, so don't try to weasle out of wearing them! Friggin' slackers! Let\'s review now boys and girls...
I will show up about 6:30 to the MGM and start the festivities by ordering myself a beer.
By 7:00 pm we should have a waitress assigned to us in the upstairs lounge, where we will all have drinks, beers, cocktails, and assorted alcoholic beverages brought to us whilst we socialize and talk smak. During the cocktail party, everyone will of course be wearing their nametags! Someone will also probably get kicked in the nuts by me at this time! [img]/images/graemlins/grin.gif[/img] 8:00pm we'll start getting seated, buying chips, etc, plus we'll continue drinking beer and talking smak. 8:30 the games should be started, as well as the bad beats! Hopefully by 9pm someone will have collected the $5 and a beer bounty I have put on photoc for rivering him with a three outer or less! More bounties and side prizes should be dreamed up, think away you poker guru magoos! Hell yeah, we are gonna burn the place down! Viva la MGM! al
