Default Maniac bluffs the river.....maybe

Villain a very loose, very aggressive - 75/37/4 after about 100 hands. His river AF is 14.0. He had about 2.5 buy-ins in front of him when I sat down, and he's almost doubled up again since. He's definately using his deep stack to bully the table. He has bluffed and shown several times in the last 100 hands. His W$SF is 60%, but his WSD is only 13%, which means a) his bullying has been very successful and b) he's folding all of his non-made hands before showdown.

Last note on villain: one of his favorite tactics seems to be to call one or two streets and then make a monster (100-150BB) raise once the pot has been built up bit.

.50/1 NLHE - 6 Players
Hero has $144; Villain covers 3 times over.

Hero is BB with Q [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img], 7 [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]

Preflop: UTG folds, MP folds, CO folds, Button (villain) calls, SB folds, Hero checks.

($2.50) Flop (2 players) : T [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img], Q [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img], 6 [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]
Hero bets $2, Button calls.

($6.50) Turn: 4 [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]
Hero bets $4, Button calls

($14.50) River: K [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]
Hero bets $7, Villain raises to $105 , Hero says "WTF????" and ...............?

Against most other villains this is an easy fold. In fact against most other villains, I'm probably check-folding the turn (and maybe I should have here). Against a villain who's been bullying the table, and who seems to be taking great delight in bluffing his opponents out of post, I'm on the fence.

There are so many better hands here.... you can't reasonably call this hand...

two pair, straight, Q better kicker. Let him take this one down

I am not calling off my stack here. Let him think he "outplayed" you and stack him in a better spot. He will give you plenty of opportunities.

there is no shame in folding here. with that said, there are opponents where i insta call here. of course i would have to been there to get a feel for the frequency and cards/spots villain likes to pull this junk. common wisdom dictates that u "wait for a better spot", usually meaning TPTK+. there is nothing wrong with this. but i personally beleive, and i have posts on this, that these guys are a ticking time bomb and it is a lottery on which nut peddler can pick up a monster against him first (of course then he has to decide to make this retarded play) if u are rolled for the game and dont mind variance then u can get in there with much more margianl situations profitably against these guys. disclaimer: most people should disregard everything written past my first sentence.

He's been pulling this at least 1 in 3 times he's seen a flop. In the hands I've been involved in, this is the fourth or fifth time he's done this to me, and I folded all previous times. Two of those times he's shown me his cards and he was bluffing.

So that being said, the K on the river seemed just a little too perfect for him to take a shot again.

Unfortunately, when I called, he showed K6o for two pair.

If you can handle the variance, from the read you claim to have on him, I would be calling, not just to win the pot but to find out what the [censored] he is doing.
