It was something someone posted here about something in HoH.

"When you get a good hand early lay the whip to it."

Let me tell you at 5$ sng's & micro MTT's you can do quite well with that ideal.

I would also like to add:

"Dont play with scared money."

If you are afraid to lose the money you are playing with, you will lose it more often then not.

Don't get too crazy with top pair.

I've recently had to remind myself:

"Pocket Jacks are not the nuts."

Probably not the best advice I ever received, but it's the single sentence I've been trying to drive into my head recently, so I'll repeat it here.

I don't know if it's advice, but i read it and it's helped me a good bit.

1. You'll never get a 2nd chance at this tournament, so be patient

2. No tournament has ever been won in the first 3 hours of play.

Every pot you're in can knock you out, so be selectively aggressive

Great advice. I was in a tourney the other night and had A/10o on the button. Folded around to me and I raised. Got called by the BB. Flop was QQ10, so I sent out a feeler bet. Turn was a 10. I've got a fullhouse. Checked to me, I bet and in the process pot-committed myself and he put me all-in and turned over AQ.

Yep, that hand has cost me more early tournament chips than any other.

On a similar piece of hand advice, don't overplay AQ, but don't underplay it either. It's still strong.
