Default Iexplore error message

I keep getting the following error message when I go to certain Internet sites: "This program has performed an illegal operation and will be shut down. Contact program vendor if problem persists." When I click on the details box it says "Iexplore has caused an invalid page fault at module xxxxxxx". Can anyone tell me whats going on?

Thanks in advance.

could be tons of things, this is just a program crash.

Make sure you have the newest version and all that, but that problem can be a bitch to get rid of, you are better off just using a different browser.

You can try repairing it using the following procedure: How to reinstall or repair Internet Explorer and Outlook Express in Windows XP (assuming you have XP). Also, make sure you are using the latest updates and service packs. Since IE is 'tied' with windows, it never hurts to have everything as up-to-date as possible.

Good luck.
