Default odd

7CS you have a pr and one overcard to board (8 players) you know 10 cards, if everyone except you and one player fold, what are you odd's to make a pr of the overcard? your overcard is the only one you know of. Is this correct way to figure it? 52-10= 40 divided by 3 (the Pr card) divided by 4 rounds so the odds of matching your over card is 3.33/1
thank's Ron

1 minus probabilitity of not making it =
1 - (37/40)(36/39)(35/38)(34/37) = 27.7%.

Since you know 10 cards there are 42 left, not 40. Then you proceed as bruce did, i.e. 1 - probability that you don't pair = 1 - ((39*38*37*36)/(42*41*40*39)) = 26.5% or 2.77:1 against.
