Party $50NL
Hero is in SB with $70. Villain in LP just joined the table and has full stack. 4 limpers to Hero who has KK Hero raises it to $8. 2 callers. FLOP KQ9 all spades Hero bets 2/3 pot. 1 fold. Late position player quickly calls and I feel sick. Plan for the rest of the hand? |

at 50NL the only hands that call massive pf raises (8$) are pp's and AK. At worst he has AK, with A of spades.I say push a non spade turn.
edit: or AA, with one spade. |

1. I don't like your 8 dollar raise preflop, it tells people exactly what you have.
2. I would 2/3 pot it again on the turn if it is not a spade. |

[/ QUOTE ] You must be playing different tables then me, lol. I've seen people call 3 bets with 56os and A10. I don't really see the players being that much better then the $25 tables. At the $100, I tend to agree. |

Did you really raise to 16x the BB preflop?

Bet the [censored] out of a non-spade turn [/ QUOTE ] That's what I did. The turn was a non spade rag. I bet 2/3 the pot. He called with no hesitation. The river was another non spade rag. I bet again. When he called the turn again, I was thinking 'uh oh'. I was thinking my hand range was fairly defined, and he probably knew I didn't have the flush.... But I was having trouble putting him on the flush because it seemed to unlikely for someone to be calling 8xbb with Axs (since the K and Q are out). And, he never reraised me.... I don't mean to be results oriented.... needless to say I lost the hand. (I think everyone can guess one of the two hands he had that beat me.) I just feel a little stupid since... When I bet the river, what is he realistically calling with that I beat? When he called, I felt like an idiot. |

Well if he calls the turn and the river bricks, you have the option of check-calling river if you think he can bluff a missed draw
