Blind stealing with A9
Villain was 32/28/3.8 but only after around 50 or so hands.
I was probably just going to call the flop, and fold the turn if the board were complete rags. Also, I was checking the river UI. Party Poker 3/6 Hold'em (6 max, 5 handed) FTR converter on zerodivide.cx Preflop: Hero is Button with 9[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img], A[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]. 2 folds, Hero raises, SB 3-bets, 1 fold, Hero calls. Re: Blind stealing with A9
How is this a steal? A9 off is a quality hand in late position on shorthanded tables.
Most people 3 bet a percieved steal with pairs, high cards, and Ax. Him slowing down on the flop and just calling the turn, most likely means he was afraid of the straight or overpair. Him calling the river most likely means his piece was at least a pair, unless he percieved you to be agro and then may have called down with A high. Anyway value betting the 9 is fine against many shorthanded players. |

Re: Blind stealing with A9
I would probably check the turn here. Given his stats, he's unlikely to fold to your bet.
I would value bet the river, like you did |

I would probably check the turn here. [/ QUOTE ] If you check this turn, there is a high probability of him betting the river if a rag falls. Are you calling? |

Flop: (7 SB) 5, 6, 7 (2 players) SB bets, Hero raises, SB calls. Turn: (5.50 BB) T (2 players) SB checks, Hero bets, SB calls. River: (7.50 BB) 9 (2 players) SB checks, Hero bets, SB calls. Re: Blind stealing with A9
If a rag comes on the river and he bets, the chances are that with A9 you're beat, so I'll fold the river

Re: Blind stealing with A9
You can raise the flop a lot. Sometimes you can raise the turn. Sometimes just calling down is best. Your hand is way too good to just call along then fold the turn/river though. You should see a showdown a big majority of the time.

Re: Blind stealing with A9
I probably call the flop and fold the turn UI against most opponents. Or if Im going to raise, I think you're more likely to get somewhere raising the turn.
