I\'ve been taking this line with small flushes
Using it against slightly more aggressive opponents when there is the possibility of a strong hand other than a flush.
For instance, this hand, the button is a reasonable player. over 400 hands his flop aggression is 1.9, Turn aggression 2.5 (he likes to checkraise.. but not relevant here), river 1.9. WTSD 35 W$SD 53. I am BB with 8 [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] 6 [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] 3 limpers to button who raises, SB folds, I call, Limpers call. Flop: (5) players (10.4 SB) K [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] Q [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] 2 [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] I bet, 1 limper calls, button raises, I call, Limper calls Turn: (3) players (8BB) T [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] I bet, Button raises, I call River (2) players, (12BB) 3 [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] I bet, button raises, I call |

Re: I\'ve been taking this line with small flushes
I don't see why this line is better than a bet/3-bet on the turn.

Re: I\'ve been taking this line with small flushes
Any reason for not 3betting the turn?

Re: I\'ve been taking this line with small flushes
I would have 3 bet the turn without a doubt. Take charge of this hand! Don't give him a free card.

Re: I\'ve been taking this line with small flushes
Flair,
I would only consider such a line against a VERY, VERY passive opponent. I basically want to be confident that a huge percentage of the time villain's line is exactly a bigger flush in order NOT to three-bet this turn. I think I've probably done similar things in live games where I have a very strong read and players tend to be more passive. Online bet-three-betting the turn is probably correct in 80-90% of situations at least. |

I think this is an ez turn 3bet. You likely have the best hand here and need to get more money in this pot you figure to win more often than not.
