Hey there... I'll keep an eye on this thread if you have any other questions.

1) Fake ID. Your friend could go to Jail.... what kind of fake are we talking about here? I'd be VERY cautious about using a bogus ID. Try to get in and just don't show any ID at all. Sit and play.... if asked for your ID I'd say he forgot it in his car, rack up your chips, and cash out (if they will let him) and scram. If you guys are going on the weekend you're even more likely to get carded...maybe 30-40% at the door. Try to act like you belong go in through the main entrance when a large group is going in (maybe a bus drop off?). Side doors increase your chances o being cardred as there is less traffic.

Good places to stay:
The Gold Strike / Horseshoe have the best 1/2 punch for poker rooms in Tunica... plus they have the added benefit of being very close (20 ft apart). The Horseshoe is booked solid for Weekend Poker Rate rooms through the end of the year so I'd suggest calling the Gold Strike and ask to speak to the poker room.... book your rooms at least 2 weeks in advance. They are $35/night with 6 hours of play.

If you have any other questions please feel free to ask and I'll try to help.

I didnt know they had discounted rates for playing poker, def need to look into that. but my friends id is a real one its just not him, but he is asian so it looks pretty close the only prob is that it is expired. I like the "left my card in my room" line. thanks for the info

I agree.
If he can look the part then I suspect there is a chance that he can pull it off without getting carded at the door.

Using a fake is pretty dangerous imo.

chipr777 posted a month or two ago about a 20-year-old that they caught in their poker-room (chipr777 works at the Horseshoe) and they just told them to leave I think.

Once you get inside there is a decent chance that nothing will happen to you (although still the possibility that someone will nail you).
I worked as a blackjack dealer at a different casino in Tunica.
We were only supposed to ask if they had a players' card.
We were never supposed to ask a player if they were 21 and had ID to prove it. That was mostly up to the floor if they wanted to enforce it....and I think the floor mostly assumed that the security dude at the door was taking care of it...which they often-times weren't.

I dealt to a ton of players who, to me, looked like they could have been about 15 for all I knew...and never saw any of them carded inside the casino.

Then again, a dealer friend of mine went to the Gold Strike one time and was asked to show her idea. The security-guard swore it was a fake and kept her there for 40 minutes holding her card and generally being a prick.
The girl he was keeping there was 27-years-old and didn't even look close to 20 imo (nor did she really act like it...she was stopping by the Gold Strike at about 2am to play a little after putting in a shift at our casino...and she'd been there about a zillion times before).

So...as you would expect...some security-guards barely pay any attention...while others are total retards about it.
most are somewhere in-between.

go ahead and do a search for 'Tunica' in the B&M forum (use the search function).

The poker room-rate discounts have been covered about a zillion times (most recently just 2 or 3 days ago I believe).

Look for posts by me and chipr777 and memphisaces and steamboatin and pvr (among many many others) and you will pretty much see everything you could possibly want to know about Tunica (including room-rate discounts, games offered, best buffets, etc etc).

It's all in here and it's pretty easy to find.

Just realize that your friend very well could have his chips confiscated even WITH the "in the car" excuse. Frankly I'd not risk it. My brother was carded out on the floor for no reason one night... It's really just not worth it. Also, I agree with what was said about not trying it at the 'shoe.

On my 21st birthday, I got carded by a pit boss at GoldStrike. I have never been carded in the actual poker room. Just do not do anything stupid, like order alchohol.

I make it down to Tunica at least once every couple months. I've never once made it onto the floor without being carded (I'm 23 and don't have to shave regularly for my job, so its even scruffier when I've been in MS for a couple days). The flipside to that is that I've never been carded in the actual poker room. I have been carded at the casino bars a couple times.

All that being said, if its an actual ID I don't think you'll have too much of a problem. Once, one of my friends (who was well over 21) was almost turned away from the floor because his TN ID was expired. I guess we convinced the officer that of course he was 21, but its not a guarantee that a relatively small detail like that will be overlooked.

So after that rambling, just weigh the risk/reward. Once you get on the floor I think you'll mostly be ok as long as you (or your friend don't do something stupid). But there's that chance of being kicked out and having your chips confiscated.
