10/20: 33 hits bottom set in monster 3-way pot
BB is what seems to be a pretty poor LAG. UTG+2 is a very solid TAG. How did I play this?

raise more on flop, something like 600$ jam it up with bottom set on action board like this one.
turn push? river quad? |

Raise more on flop, bet more on turn. The turn is a horrible spot, but you probably have to call. Expect to be drawing dead a lot of the time.

Flop raise looks really light

meh, he's probably got some out(s). [/ QUOTE ] He has to call because maybe half the time he has outs or is marginally ahead. The other half he's drawing to one out. |

Hate the turn lead. Check and call something reasonable

Hate the turn lead. Check and call something reasonable [/ QUOTE ] Why? This gives UTG+2 a free draw at his hand, which was most likely a flush draw. Sure he could have 9T and it now looks like he does, but hero cant know that and can still fill up. And the BB is a donk. KQ AA AK spades are all possible from flop action so hero needs to bet. Sucks the way it worked out but thats poker, sometimes you just gotta lose becuase over time you know you did the right thing. |

I figured I had button beat unless he turned a set of kings. Anyways... here are the results... Results in white below: BB has Qh Ks (two pair, kings and queens). Hero has 3d 3c (three of a kind, threes). UTG+2 has 9s Ts (flush, jack high). Converter messed up, but I ended up winning a decent sidepot. |

Re: 10/20: 33 hits bottom set in monster 3-way pot
saying bb is a donk seems to be putting it lightly...
