Default another vegas question

Hello,

I'm sorry if this is one of those questions asked every day, but i'm taking my dad to the fiesta bowl for a christmas present and decided to spend a couple days in vegas while we're in the area. I'll be there from jan 3 and will be leaving late on the 5th.

I was planning on staying at a comfort inn because my aunt works at one and can get me cheap rooms. Is this a good idea, or should i be staying at a casino where i intend on playing and asking for a poker rate?

Also, I plan on playing limits up to 100/200 and my dad will play low limits or maybe some other casino games while i'm playing. Where should i play?

thanks a lot

I think the only place (and this is what I hear, not from experience) where you can be sure to get a very high limit game at almost an given time is the Bellagio. And IMO if you can afford to play 100/200 and can beat that limit then f-ck the comfort in, stay at the bellagio.

If you plan to play a lot- +6 hours daily, the poker rate at Bellagio is good. It may even be better if you tell them you are going to sit that whole time in their 80-160 game. I don't know if they spread 100-200, but they do spread 80-160 as both hold 'em and as a mixed game. I think their next level is 200-400, but I could be mistaken since I'm usually sitting 8-16 and I dont' listen too much to the mid-high table annoucements.

A quick question, are you bankrolled for 100/200? Do you play it regularly? Did you get your bankroll from poker or from a job?

I just checked it out and and the bellagio is full on the 4th, so that's out of the picture.

Also, I've got the roll for 100/200, but I play mostly 30/60 online; played about a month of breakeven 1/2 over the summer and decided my time is better spent at 30/60 for the time being.

Thanks for the replies.

ps. Go Irish!!! got seats right behind their bench
